Goodea was founded in 2011 from two complementary profiles: an expert in digital behaviour and technology, and an administrator with a solid legal and economic background. This duality is our strength.
José Compagnone has been studying online human behaviour for over twenty years. He does so with the tools of digital anthropology: field observation, conversation analysis, and ethnography of digital contexts. From this ongoing research he has built a professional practice that combines methodological rigour and strategic vision.
He is the designer of the Radar system — Goodea's proprietary market intelligence tool that analyses millions of online conversations to surface strategic signals before they become visible to competitors. He conceived Usability Cards (2011), an original method for participatory usability evaluation, adopted by institutions and agencies across Italy.
He contributed to drafting the eGLU 2.1 protocol for the usability of Italian Public Administration websites, within the Usability Working Group (GLU) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He is a member of UxPA — Usability Professionals Association.
He teaches at some of Italy's leading educational institutions on topics of web marketing, UX and digital communication. He writes the column "Chronicles from the Agentic Era" on Tom's Hardware Italy — twelve instalments on the impact of artificial intelligence on work and professional identity. He publishes the newsletter and podcast Customer Mindset on Substack.
